Network Specialist IGDC – Contract Based

To perform and manage device patching for Telstra’s customer. The role will provide technical expertise with low to medium complex technical service, solutions and support for networks, infrastructure, and services supplied and operated by Telstra to its customer. The account is accountable for ensuring the device patching activity are run smoothly and successfully. The role is typically working as an individual working with other parties (technical vendor and customer’s technical expertise) in a team and matrix environment.

The device patching activity include but are not limited to:

  • Network infrastructure (majority SDWAN)
  • Security infrastructure
  • Cloud infrastructure
  • +3 years’ experience in ICT and Managed Services Business Environment or equivalent
  • CCNA & CCNP (Required)
  • Detailed level hands on experience with enterprise routers, switches and network management devices and applications
  • A demonstrated understanding of Customer Networks, specific to a single or multiple customers
  • A demonstrated understanding or ITIL process, specific to Event Management, Incident Management and Change Management
  • Possess a valid network or application management accreditation is desirable
  • Ability to show initiative in solving problems and drive to succeed
  • Advance in English
  • Previous experience maintaining enterprise solutions and services typically associated with Wireless Services, Mobiles, Firewalls, Application Security, Data Communications and Network
  • Advance English is a must
  • Willing to work in Australia time zone
