JAKARTA – The development of digital technology is increasingly widespread and complex. It is difficult for institutions to know the type of technology and its implementation that can be used to support the best customer experience. It was realized by the leaders of business institutions that customer experience became one of the main catalysts in digital transformation.

However, information technology practitioners in companies tend to be overwhelmed to maintain the speed in implementing the best digital technology that can meet the demands and expectations of customers who are dynamically growing.

“Telkomtelstra sees institutions that have initiated digital transformation initiatives and simplified the process towards customer experience through technological innovation will be able to win competition, while serving and retaining customers quickly, while increasing staff efficiency and reducing costs,” said Erik Meijer, CEO of Telkomtelstra in his opening remarks Telkomtelstra Digital Summit 2018 which takes the theme ‘Untangling network complexities in the intelligence era to maximize business competitiveness’ in Jakarta, Wednesday (11/14).

“Telkomtelstra in 2018 has also made various breakthroughs to help Enterprise achieve the targeted customer experience through our Azure Stack cloud solution which this year has received security certified (ISO 27001 / SNI) and is available at two data center locations, namely Serpong and Sentul, to ensure cloud performance especially for local data storage, with global standards. In addition Telkomtelstra in 2018 also added Cloud application services (SAAS) in collaboration with Oracle, namely Digital Customer Engagement services, “continued Erik Meijer.

The 2018 Telkomtelstra Digital Summit presents technological innovations and best practices from technology experts and customer experience leaders from companies in Indonesia who have done this. The event was the closing of the 2018 Digital Transformation Journey (DITA) series.

In the 2018 Telkomtelstra Digital Summit also held a collaboration signing ceremony between Telkomtelstra and Symantec which marked the launch of the Security Intelligence solution from Telkomtelstra for the Enterprise market in Indonesia. Telkomtelstra’s Security Intelligence solution is equipped with technology from Symantec, a global software company, which provides leading-edge security technology to protect companies from targeted attacks and the latest cyber threats that continue to repeat (advanced persistent threats).

“As the world’s leading cybersecurity company, Symantec provides the Cloud Generation with strategic, integrated solutions to defend against sophisticated attacks across endpoints, cloud, and infrastructure. Symantec is committed to working with Telkomtelstra to deliver the best use of security intelligence solutions to support the Indonesian corporate market,” said Edwin Yeo, Vice President, Channels and Alliances, Asia Pacific, Symantec.

On the same occasion, Telkomtelstra also announced collaboration with 5 SD-Wan partners including VM Ware (VeloCloud), Cisco (Viptela, Meraki), Fortinet, Riverbed and officially launched ITS SD-WAN solution. SD-WAN innovation is a new transformational way to operate a company WAN in managing the connectivity of various branch offices, especially those far or remote. This solution is designed with a simplified technology implementation of network complexity through cost-effective real-time applications.

IDC estimates the implementation of SD-WAN as one of the technologies that will increase significantly throughout the world for the needs of digital transformation with a growth of 69.6% per year (compound annual growth rate / CAGR) and infrastructure revenues and SD-WAN services in worldwide will reach $ 8.05 billion by 2021.

“Companies that are able to adapt digitally effectively to their business landscape will be able to have more than double the rate of revenue growth, customer retention and profit growth relative to companies with only partial or no digital alignment,” said Mevira Munindra, Senior Research Manager for Consulting and Heads of Operations IDC Indonesia.

“Traditional network models may not be able to overcome the lack of agility, flexibility, and scalability to accommodate all changes in the company’s IT environment,” exclaimed Agus F. Abdillah, Telkomtelstra Chief of Product and Synergy. Agus added that if companies looking for comprehensive network solutions to be able to handle central visibility and control at branch locations, are often interested in the features offered by Wide Area Network (SD-WAN) technology determined by software.
