Corporate Social Responsibility

Digiserve has committed to be a socially responsible organization since day one. In 2019 Digiserve’s CSR programs were focused on “Technology and Digital Transformation in Our Society”. There were three main initiatives in 2019, namely:

1. The Implementation of the Cloud Contact Centre for The National Commission of Violence Against Women

We have completed the implementation of our Cloud Contact Center technology with ipSCAPE in the National Commission of Violence Against Women and conducted training sessions with the volunteers in 2019. The implementation of this system has improved the outbound call in the National Commission of Violence Against Women by 65%, from 367 calls in 2018 to 559 calls in 2019. This initiative has also been mentioned in the national and international forum, including two UN Nations Forum in New York and Geneva.

2. Investing in Education: Partnership with Universities in Indonesia

The implementation of our Multi-Channel Communication solution Whispir with Telkom University has been completed and fully utilized in 2019. We also participated in the Industrial Gathering FGD event that was conducted by Telkom University. Moreover, in collaboration with HR and Indonesian Business Coalition for Women Empowerment (IBCWE), we have conducted a series of campus visits to Telkom University, Binus University, University of Indonesia, and Bandung Institute of Technology for talent recruitment, product sharing session, and promoting women in STEM.

3. Promoting Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace

Digiserve’s Brilliant Connected Women series continues to grow, building stronger networks with our shareholders, partners, customers and other professional organizations. We also initiated a strategic partnership with Indonesia Business Coalition for Women Empowerment (IBCWE) that help promote Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace, including conducting Gender Bias Training, ILO Training, Women Network Leadership Training, and Youth Leadership Training. Not only that, we also conducted Youth Takeover initiatives, inviting 5 young employees in the company to take over the roles of our Executive Leadership Team. Our Diversity and Inclusion program was recognized in the national and international forum, including in AWEN CEO Summit in Bangkok.

4. Ramadan Donation and Volunteering Program

We initiated a donation program during the holy month of Ramadan 2019 and conducted a volunteering program for our employees to engage with children in Yayasan Mizan Amanah Orphanage and Yayasan Anyo Indonesia.

In addition, we continue to establish a sustainable CSR program with active participation from all levels of the organization. In 2019 we continued to expand the implementation of our CSR program to be able to cover the CSR framework based on ISO 26000; including organizational governance, human rights, labour practices, environment, fair operations, consumer education, innovation, and community development and engagement.

We continue to act responsibly, ethically and in an environmentally friendly manner in all our dealings. We continue to promote environmentally friendly habits by encouraging our employees to recycle paper and plastic to create a more sustainable environment for future generations. We also signed and endorsed the Women’s Empowerment Principles and commit to take action across all seven principles, including establishing high-level corporate leadership for gender equality, treating all women and men fairly at work and respecting and supporting human rights and nondiscrimination, ensuring the health, safety and well-being of all women and men workers, promoting education, training, and professional development for women, implementing enterprise development, supply chain and marketing practices that empower women, promoting equality through community initiatives and advocacy, and measuring publicly report on progress to achieve gender equality.
