A new virtual reality experience is helping customers in Indonesia imagine a day in the life of a Chief Information Officer using telkomtelstra’s managed network services. Making its first appearance at Vantage 2016, the telkomtelstra CEC 360 VR video takes customers into telkomtelstra’s Customer Experience Centre (CEC) in Jakarta – the first fully immersive CEC in Indonesia. The CEC opened its doors just over a year ago and has welcomed more than 120 prospects. More than 40 of these prospects are customers today.
The CEC VR video experience lets the telkomtelstra team take the CEC experience to customers, regardless of location – at tradeshows, events, conferences, or even sales calls. Using an HTC Vive and a video that was shot in 360 degrees, telkomtelstra developed this ‘day in the life’ scenario of a CIO, to exemplify the value telkomtelstra’s Managed Network Services brings to large enterprises operating in Indonesia.
Nathan Bell, COO of telkomtelstra, says this is an example of how employees can think about new and innovative ways to improve interactions with customers, using the latest technology. “Being customer-first is truly at the heart of this VR experience. It means that we can take the CEC to the customers, on their terms, either to their office or at an event – and being digital we can be agile and update it as the technology or the customer need evolves,” says Nathan.
“We realised the customer need was there, came up with the idea and worked with a local agency partner to execute it. Instead of relying on traditional video to showcase something that customers could not physically get to, we took the customers there using digital technology, bridging the physical and digital divide.”
Recently, telkomtelstra marked two years of the Telstra and Telkom Indonesia partnership, one year of operation and the signing of our 50th enterprise customer.
